Dria Hampton

Freshman midfielder Dria Hampton was named to TopDrawerSoccer.com's National Team of the Week on Monday following the Sooners' 2-0 weekend against Oral Roberts and Tulsa. 


Hampton was one of 11 players named to the squad as she continues to impress after just four games. She is second on the team with six points (two goals, two assists). 

The Piedmont, Okla., native scored both of the Sooners' goals in Friday's 2-0 win over the Golden Eagles as all six of her shots were on goal. On Sunday, Hampton fired four of her six shots on goal against Tulsa. Overall, she leads the Big 12 Conference with 23 shots and 15 shots on goal. 

In her first game as a Sooner, Hampton recorded an assist on the team's first goal of the year against Missouri State. The solid performance in the opening weekend continued two days later as the heralded recruit had another assist against Sam Houston.

Hampton was a member of ESC 90 & 91 Black 

Kyle Farrell

Kyle Farrell earned second team All-Heartland Conference Honors in just his second season with St. Mary's University Soccer Team. He played in all 19 games, making 15 starts. He scored two goals in just 11 shots. Both of his goals were game winners. He also helped anchor a defense that allowed less than two goals per game this season. 

Kyle Farrell played for ESC 88 Black.

Kelsey Walters

TCU's sophomore goalkeeper, Kelsey Walters, has been named Mountain West Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Players of the Week.

She posted her fourth shutout of her career in a 5 - 0 win against Stephen F. Austin.  shut out Stephen F. Austin in a 5-0 win. She made six saves against the 2007 NCAA Tournament participant.

Kelsey Walters played for ESC 90 Black.

Soccer Buzz Magazine

 

ESC 90 Black's Kelsey Walters was selected out of 5000 players nationally to Soccer Buzz's Elite Player of the Week list for her stellar 3-0 conference shutout against previously unbeaten Utah.  She made 10 saves in the game including one PK. 

With the selection, Walters, who earlier this week was named Mountain West Conference Defensive Player of the Week, became the first TCU player in the program's history to be named toSoccer Buzz's Elite Team of the Week.

Jordan Calhoun

TCU freshman forward Jordan Calhounwas selected to the Soccer Buzz Elite Team of the Week on Wednesday.  She became only the second TCU player in the program's history to be named toSoccer Buzz's Elite Team of the Week.

In addition, Jordan was named Mountain West Conference Offensive Player of the Week.  With her two-goal performance against Xavier she became the first freshman in TCU program history to net back-to-back two-goal outings in the first two games of a career.
