ESC IS YOUR CLUB!!!!
Who runs the Edmond Soccer Club? ESC is organized entirely by parents. As the parent of a child playing on an ESC team, you are entitled to vote for and serve on the board of directors. More information on the board of directors is available at ESC's Web site. As a not-for-profit organization, ESC is dependent upon volunteers such as you. ESC needs your help with fund raising, concession stands, and tournaments. Each season, ESC employs new coaches and hosts several referee-training clinics.
Please volunteer by contacting the ESC administrator Parris Sanders at rosshalde@cox.net.
Where do I find out if games are cancelled because of rain? Check the ESC Web site www.edmondsoccer.com for up to date weather closure information. You may enter your cell phone number on the ‘e-status’ link to have closure texts sent directly to your phone. The club hotline, 348-BALL, will also have closure information. Coaches may verify game schedules and contact you on game day. Once the decision to close the complex due to inclimate weather, e-status text messages are sent, online field status is posted, and the ESC hotline carries this information to keep you advised.
Who takes team photos? Moto Photo is a sponsor of the Edmond Soccer Club. Moto Photo will schedule dates and times for taking team pictures. Coaches will be provided with the dates. All team photos taken at the ESC complex must be taken in the designated area. You may use a photographer of your choosing, but you must contact the Club to reserve the photo area. Commercial photographers are allowed to operate only in the photo area, not on the playing fields or the common areas.
Is additional training for players available through ESC? ESC's Centers of Excellence are designed to enhance the skills of the individual player. Children have the opportunity to work with coaches who are highly qualified in teaching the skills necessary to excel in soccer. The COE consists of eight one-hour practice sessions held at the Edmond complex during the recreational seasons. The COE is open to all recreational players regardless of ability. Information forms are available at registration and at the ESC Web site, www.edmondsoccer.com, or by contacting the Director of Technical Development.
Who is ESC's Director of Technical Development for the Recreational Programs?
James Soesbee (soccer999999@sbcglobal.net) (409-2324)
How do I become a referee? ESC needs referees. Please visit the club website (www.edmondsoccer.com) or email the referee coordinator, Parris Sanders at rosshalde@cox.net for more information about referees and referee clinics. ESC hosts several “New Referee” clinics throughout the year.
How do I donate to ESC? ESC is a 501(c)(3), and all sponsorships and donations are tax deductible. Sponsors and Donors should contact the ESC administrator Parris Sanders at rosshalde@cox.net for additional information.
How do companies donate or advertise through ESC? Please contact ESC administrator Parris Sanders at rosshalde@cox.net if your company would like to become a corporate sponsor or would like to advertise in ESC's tournament programs, on the Club Web site, or at the complex.
When will I find out on which team my player has been placed? Rec Coaches will receive their Team Roster at the Coach’s Meeting about a week before the start of the season - (March 6). You will then receive a phone call from your coach with details about the season. Please do not call the registrar or coordinator unless you do not hear from your coach.
Thank you for participating in the ESC Spring 2010 season.
