Who runs the Edmond Soccer Club? ESC is organized entirely by parents. As the parent of a child playing on an ESC team, you are entitled to vote for and serve on the board of directors. More information on the board of directors is available at ESC's Web site. As a not-for-profit organization, ESC is dependent upon volunteers such as you. ESC needs your help with fund raising, concession stands, and tournaments. Each season, ESC employs new coaches and hosts several referee-training clinics.
Please volunteer by contacting the ESC GM, Parris Sanders at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Where do I find out if games are cancelled because of rain? Check the ESC Website www.edmondsoccer.com for up to date weather closure information. Red means closed, Green means open. Follow us on Twitter @EdmondSoccer and set our tweets to be sent to your cellphone for instant updates. "Like us" on Facebook to receive complex updates. You may enter your cell phone number on the ‘eSTATUS’ link to have closure texts sent directly to your phone. The club hotline, 348-BALL, will also have closure information. Coaches may verify game schedules and contact you on game day. Once the decision to close the complex due to inclement weather, field status is posted on each of these media.

When are the games played? Games are scheduled on Saturday and on occasional Sundays after 1pm. Reschedules are played on Monday or Wednesday evenings. Rainouts are managed on a case basis.
In which age group is my child? Brackets are determined by birthdays, not school grades. In other words, children are grouped by their ages as of July 31, not whether they are in first or second grade. This means that children in the same class at school could be in different age groups for soccer. When you register, the system recognizes your player's birthdate and places them in the correct age group. Players return to their previous team by default.
What uniform does my player wear? New U4/U5/U6 players are provided a T-Shirt by the club free and delivered at the Coaches Meeting. Shorts, socks, and required shin guards are available at Soccer USA. U7-U10 players must purchase the approved ESC Nike Club Uniform at Soccer USA. The official approved ESC Uniform consists of a Black/White Jersey set, Black shorts and team socks. (each player must wear the same socks.)
How do I apply for a scholarship? The Scholarship Program was developed to provide players and their families the opportunity to receive a scholarship from the club during times of financial difficulty. The program provides scholarship funds to help offset part of recreational registration fees, competitive registration fees, competitive training fees, and uniforms. This does not include any team fees, goalkeeper fees, tournament fees, or travel related costs. The scholarship funds are to be used solely for payment of the fees listed. Scholarships are based on need and availability of funds. ESC cannot function without the help of many volunteers. Scholarship recipients will be expected to volunteer a minimum of six hours during the soccer year. You may work your hours at any ESC hosted tournament. You will receive an email prior to each tournament requesting your assistance and allowing you to choose a time that fits your schedule. Please send your scholarship requests to the club Registrar, Pat Morgan in writing at 2510 Stonehenge Dr. Edmond, OK 73034.
When do I find out on which team my player has been placed? Coaches will receive their Team Roster at the Coach’s Meeting about a 2 weeks before the start of the season. You will then receive a phone call from your coach with details about the season. Please do not call the registrar or coordinator unless you do not hear from your coach. U4 Parents will be notified via email before the Orientation Meeting (Spring season only).
Refund Policy - If requested by the second scheduled game, you will receive a 50% refund. After this date, there will be no refunds. Requests must be made in writing and emailed to ESC Registrar, Pat Morgan, email@example.com. Refunds take up to six weeks to process. Practice is for Practice, Game Day is for fun. Refrain from screaming instructions at your child during games. Your coach is there to provide technical advice. Please let them do their jobs. If you'd like to be a coach, let us know! Don't dissect your child's play after games. DO celebrate the FUN of playing on a soccer team.
