What is the Center of Excellence?

The COE is a training program offered by the Edmond Soccer Club to enhance the development of soccer skills for any recreational soccer players.  The COE is open to all recreational players U6 – U18 boys and girls.  The primary purpose of the COE is to provide a fun, yet challenging environment for recreational players to improve their ability to hand the ball.  The COE will be coached by ESC staff coaches.  All of these coaches have an extensive playing and coaching history and will be able to teach players the skills necessary to enjoy the game.

Who will be heading up the COE?

James Soesbee:

                        Director of Technical Development (ESC)/ National “A” and “Youth” Coaching license/ Oklahoma and Region 3 Coach of the year 2009/   20 years of coaching experience

Where will the COE be held?

The COE will be held at the Edmond Soccer Club located between Santa Fe and Kelly on Danforth.

What do I need to bring?

Players should bring a ball, water, great attitude and soccer appropriate clothing including shin guards.  Everyone should arrive 10 minutes prior to their COE session.

What do I do in case of rain?

Check the website at www.edmondsoccer.com.  If the complex is closed, the session is cancelled and will be rescheduled.  We guarantee at least one rain out make up date and will do what we can to make up any additional rain outs.

When will the COE be held?

The COE will go for 7 sessions on Mondays from 6:15 PM to 7:15 PM.

What is the cost of the COE?

$65 per player/ $55 for any additional player from the same household (See instructions below) /To receive the Family discounts, you must log in to the “Family Account” on the registration page.

When is the early registration deadline?

            Spring 2010                 March 1, 2010

            Fall 2010                     September 1, 2010

**After the early registration deadline, the fee will increase by $10.00.  You may still register online after the early registration deadline, but may not be guaranteed a T-Shirt order as the order for shirts will be placed the day after the early registration deadline.  Walkup registration will be accepted the day of the first COE as well.**

How do I get the family discount?

A family discount of $10 will be given for the second and third child and so on.   In order to receive the discount you have to register all of them in the same online session.  You will have to use the family account when registering.

Is there another way to register?

While we prefer you register online, you may download the registration form (click here), complete the form, and mail it along with a check made out to ESC to the address on the form.  Mail in registrations must be received by the early registration deadline with a check for $65 or if late $75.00.  Late mail in registration may not receive a t-shirt.

What is the Refund Policy?

Refunds will be issued if withdrawing before the COE early registration deadline less a $10.00 administrative fee.  A 50% refund will be issued after the early registration deadline.  No refunds will be issued after the first night of COE. To request a refund, please email James Soesbee at Soccer999999@sbcglobal.net.  Refunds may take up to 6 weeks to process.
