Freshman midfielder Dria Hampton was named to TopDrawerSoccer.com's National Team of the Week on Monday following the Sooners' 2-0 weekend against Oral Roberts and Tulsa.
Hampton was one of 11 players named to the squad as she continues to impress after just four games. She is second on the team with six points (two goals, two assists).
The Piedmont, Okla., native scored both of the Sooners' goals in Friday's 2-0 win over the Golden Eagles as all six of her shots were on goal. On Sunday, Hampton fired four of her six shots on goal against Tulsa. Overall, she leads the Big 12 Conference with 23 shots and 15 shots on goal.
In her first game as a Sooner, Hampton recorded an assist on the team's first goal of the year against Missouri State. The solid performance in the opening weekend continued two days later as the heralded recruit had another assist against Sam Houston.
