Notice regarding team formation and season reschedule:
Due to the March 10 rainout, the Orientation was moved to March 22 and the 1st games to March 24. Some team assignments have changed and the entire 8-game schedule has been re-worked. Locate your team assignment in your player profile at www.gotsoccer.com. Log into your account with your username and password.
Please bring your player to the Orientation and come a bit early to pick up your T-Shirt and post-season medal..
If you are unable to attend the 3/22 Orientation, we will hold another mid-season training session.
The U4 Orientation will now be on Thursday, March 22 at 6:00 pm at the Edmond Soccer Club Complex; fields 1 & 2. (Fields 1 are now where field 13 is on the fields map. We are adding a new full-sized field in preparation for a Regional Tournament in the summer of 2013.) The first games will begin Saturday, March 24.
We are excited to kick off the ESC U4 League's season. For many of you, this is your first experience with Recreational soccer. For others, who may be seasoned veterans, this may be a walk in the park. Regardless of your history, we want your U4 player's introduction to organized soccer to be great experience!!

When weather forces us to close the complex,we distribute instant information in 3 ways. You can sign up for the eSTATUS messages to your cellphone and you can "Follow us on Twitter". These links are located on our Home page. Finally, you can always call the club Hotline at 405 348-BALL for a recorded message.
Start Date - The U4's will meet for an Orientation Night at the Soccer Complex on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at 6pm on Fields 1 and 2. Please come a bit early to pick up your T-Shirts and medals. Our Technical Director, James Soesbee, the U4 Coordinator, Dean Wenzel, and their staff coaches will guide us through the Group Exercises. This session is designed to give everyone a good look at how to run your practices and how to coach your games. Every parent will be capable of taking care of the team at any point in the season. We will end the session in a breakout of practices for each team.
Season Start - The U4 League will play an 8-game season:
- 3/24, 3/31, 4/7, 4/14, 4/21, 4/28, 5/5, 5/12
- 5/13 will be a Make-up day
Time - The U4 player pool will be split up into 9 teams of 6 players each. Games will be scheduled randomly beginning at 11am and stretching throughout the day each hour. Team schedules will be posted on this website before the Orientation Meeting. Expect to have a game on each Saturday with a bye game on one weekend during the season.
Fees - The $40 fee covers a T-shirt and post-season medals, which will be distributed at the Orientation Meeting. Also included an additional Group training session.
Uniforms - U4 Players will wear the approved ESC uniform which consists of the T-Shirt, black shorts, black socks, shin guards. Soccer cleats or tennis shoes are acceptable footwear. Soccer shoes should not have a toe cleat. The correct ball size for this group is size 3.
Soccer Center Sessions - During the season, the Technical Director will schedule a second Group Session which will run approximately 60 minutes. For this session, players will participate in an introduction of different games and activities. The sessions will be split, with approximately half the session spent on games, skills and activities and the remaining time scrimmaging 3v3.

Staff - The U4 Teams4Tots program is directed by Coach Dean Wenzel. The soccer training is run by Technical Director Coach James Soesbee. Our staff does a great job bringing the game of soccer to the little ones!
Frequently asked questions:
Where do I get the uniform? Players will receive a T-Shirt at the orientation meeting. The rest of the uniform can be purchased at Soccer USA in Edmond on Danforth and Kelly. They are ready to serve all your soccer equipment needs.
Will my U4 have a coach? There are not set teams/coaches at U4. However, Coaches Soesbee and Wenzel will help your team to organize itself sufficiently to accomplish the goal of training everyone to manage a fun and productive season. The group sessions will have a full staff of coaches to help you.
Will there be practice during the week? No. U4 only meets once a week on Saturdays for their games and for the Group Training Sessions.
What do we need to bring to each Group Session? Every player needs to bring a ball, size 3. Each player also needs to wear shin guards. You will have your team assignments sent via email before the Orientation Meeging on March 8. T-shirts and medals can be picked up prior to the first session. Please plan on arriving early to the first session.
